Privacy Policy for calendarm

This Privacy Policy describes how calendarm ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you sign in with your Google Account and use the App's features.

1. Who we are

calendarm is a personal project developed and operated by Dongweon Shin (ORCID 0009-0007-1393-5509). Contact: osogpub@gmail.com.

2. Information we access

When you sign in with Google, the App requests only the OAuth scopes it needs to function. Depending on the feature you use, this may include:

• Google account profile (name, email, profile picture) — to identify your account inside the App.
• Google Calendar data (events, calendars you own or are invited to) — to read and, where you explicitly ask, create or modify events on your behalf.

The App only accesses the data required for the action you initiate. It does not request scopes beyond those listed on the Google consent screen you see when signing in.

3. How we use your information

We use the information solely to:

1. Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
2. Show, create, update, or delete calendar events at your request.
3. Provide the core scheduling features of calendarm.

We do not:

• Sell your data.
• Share your data with advertisers or third-party marketers.
• Use your Google user data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate generalized AI/ML models.
• Use your data for any purpose other than delivering and improving the user-facing features of calendarm, as required by the Google API Services User Data Policy including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Storage and retention

• OAuth tokens are stored only for as long as needed to keep your session active and are refreshed or revoked per Google's standard OAuth flow.
• Calendar data fetched to render the UI is kept in memory / local session storage on your device and is not persisted on a remote server beyond what is needed to complete the requested action.
• You can revoke access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access deletes the App's ability to read further data from your account.

5. Sharing with third parties

calendarm does not share your Google user data with third parties except:

• With Google itself, to make the API calls you asked for.
• When required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of users or the public.

6. Security

Communication with Google APIs is performed over HTTPS. OAuth secrets are kept out of source control. The App follows Google's recommended OAuth 2.0 best practices. We cannot, however, guarantee absolute security of any system, and you use the App at your own risk.

7. Children

calendarm is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notifying you in-app.
